Local Club Affiliation Application SC Beekeepers Association

In keeping with the mission of the SC Beekeepers Association, we are dedicated to education and advocacy ensuring that South Carolina beekeepers have the information and tools they need to meet the challenges of modern beekeeping. We value our members and we look forward to building strong and meaningful relationships with our Local Club Affiliates. The benefits of becoming a Local Club Affiliate include but are not limited to:

  • Access to our Master Beekeeper Program Certified Level materials
  • Local club representation on the SCBA President’s Council to contribute valuable input and feedback
  • Eligible for Education Grants
  • Outreach and support for your local club and assistance with new club start ups
  • Free advertising of club meetings, activities, and events
  • Advocacy on the local and state level

The process of becoming a Local Club Affiliate requires each club to submit the application by January 31st of each year. To be considered, the clubs should have a Board of Directors or Officers, By-Laws or a Constitution, and a minimum of 10 members. Officers and Directors are encouraged to be members of SCBA. As an SCBA Affiliated Club, you may appoint an SCBA member from your local club to serve as a Liaison to SCBA. Local Club Liaisons are invited to participate in the SCBA President’s Council which meets regularly to address projects and concerns as they pertain to the mission of SCBA. Acceptance of this application implies that your local club will maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with SCBA.
