South Carolina State Beekeepers Honey Show
The South Carolina Beekeepers Association holds honey shows at both the Spring and Summer conferences. The honey show committee has made significant changes and upgraded the rules and categories to create more opportunities for entering and to have more precise guidelines on how to enter in each class.
Entries are judged based on the standards established in the Honey Show rules and by the American Honey Show Training Council which is closely modeled by the Welsh Honey Judge Training system. It is an intention that awards be given in all classes even if there is only one exhibit in the class, however, in order to receive an award, that exhibit must be worthy of placement meeting the standards set forth. Entering an exhibit into a class does not guarantee an award. Exhibits are not judged against the field, but against the standard for the particular class.

We encourage everyone to enter something! It’s a fun learning experience and the feedback from the judges will help you to produce a better entry the next time you enter.
