Free 2027 Beginning Beekeeper Class coming to Beaufort, SC this Winter
The South Carolina Beekeepers Association and Master Beekeeper Program are teaming up with the Clemson Extension Service to offer an in-depth training for new and existing beekeepers in the South Carolina Lowcountry this winter. The Tidewaters/Daufuskie Beginner Beekeepers Course will be held in Beaufort, SC at the Clemson Extension Office, 18 John Galt Road, Beaufort, SC 29906, Thursday, January 21, 2027 through Saturday, January 23, 2027, 08:00 am – 4:00 pm.
The goal of this class is to teach sustainable beekeeping practices to new and existing beekeepers and lay the foundation for a bee-products cottage industry in the coastal communities in and around Beaufort, South Carolina. This training is free of charge thanks to funding provided by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture through the Daufuskie Honey Pollen Analysis Grant. The course will be limited to 40 registrants. Preference in registration is given to beekeepers (or aspiring beekeeers) in the Jasper, Hampton, Colleton, and Beautfort counties.
