Start with a class.
Grow with a mentor.
Local associations offer beginner classes, meetings, open-hive sessions, and guest speakers. Ask a nearby club about its next class and opportunities to connect with a mentor.
Beginning courses typically provide 12–18 hours of instruction. Many are offered from January through March, with some clubs offering fall classes. A local mentor can help you put that knowledge into practice throughout your first year.
